Ship World File Starbound Server

Starbound Server Setup Guide Starbound dedicated server setups can work on both Windows or Linux systems. It is heavily configurable and depending on what you want can take a bit of effort and google foo to get everything running correctly.
Last week we promoted our stand alone UPS Worldship workstation to be an Admin Workstation for UPS Worldship. And along with that we moved database to the file server (Server 2003 Standard), which as I found later, you are not supposed to do. Now we are having all kinds of errors working in UPS Worldship and my goal is to put the database back on admin's workstation. I called UPS Tech Support who told me that they DO NOT support Windows Server and you should move the database by yourself. So my question is, what is the best way to move UPS Worldship database back to the workstation?? How to back up a database: Shut down WorldShip®.
Navigate to the Start button. Select Programs/All Programs->UPS->UPS WorldShip Support Utility. Select Data Maintenance. Under Database Operations, select Backup.
Browse to the location where the database is to be backed up. Note: Location will default to install drive: UPS WSTD Support DBSupport Select Add. A message will display when the backup is complete, select OK.
How to restore a database from a backup: Shut down WorldShip. Navigate to the Start button. Select Programs/All Programs->UPS->UPS WorldShip Support Utility. Select Data Maintenance. Under Database Operations, select Restore. Browse to the location of the database that you want restored.
Highlight the database. Select the Restore button.
Select OK on the two backup database dialogs and on the success dialog at the end of the restore process. Exit the Support Utility. I know this thread is a little tired but as equally still as important. Shawns answer is still correct with Worldship 2014 I will however add that I would suggest several items. On the Backup 1: choose a new location for the backup On the restore After the Restore is complete Go to Admin then choose (un-commision) wait this process take a little while After this completes Choose (under admin) Verifiy Security Settings (read carefuly) Choose (under admin) Configure windows firewall for UPS Database Access Do not mess with any additional settings. PJ If this is a Standalone build you are good.
The Admin remote setups are problematic. Not really anyones fault, its typically the fault of the enviroment one network issue or PC failure and by desingn you have set yourself up for a problem.

Really need to add those server side tools quick. Getting mad lag on just about every server and you cant really administer anything.
I think its the modded pickaxes everyone is using. I was on a server last night where blocks were floating all over the place, moving maybe a few pixels every second, like when you pick something up it floats to you. But theres no one there. That person left that spot minutes ago. I was using this server list here: I think they said there will be wipes during beta phase, but not after.

Click to expand.seems to be some confusion going on in this thread about the game and their state of development. What they have for sale right now is just early access, which for all practical purpose is basically a playable pre-order, with the final release nowhere in sight. There is less than zero chance of seeing a launch or discount this year, and probably not for at least another 6 months till they get out of beta. You can check out a tentative here, which of course is going to err on the optimistic side if anything. Judging by the progress they claim compared to what we actually got in game, wild ballpark guess is probably 60-70% complete.
But there are still major core features that are pretty labor intensive barely beyond alpha stage right now, like the server app, world gen, progression mechanics. It's sort of like a minecraft/mojang situation where modders are probably going to end up outpacing the devs, though major difference here being it is built to be fully moddable from the ground up, with official api on the way. The mods are already rolling in (light packs, xlarge cargo ships, custom techs, etc), since it started off with an easily accessible lua codebase to work with. It is pointless to wait on imo, if you had any interest whatsoever in this type of game you might as well just get it now.
